“I’ve been doing a little bit more reading about the history of Halloween and how it came to be. I think that there were some pagan festivals in Europe where people dressed up as demons or spirits or whatever but they didn’t celebrate them with candy.”
“It was all just fun stuff for kids so no one really cared if you got your costume from Walmart or Target. Then sometime around the 1700’s, people started making costumes themselves out of old clothes and things like that. That led to a big boom because now everyone could get their own unique costume instead of having to buy one off
