I’d been on the road for a few days and had just pulled into my parking spot at the hotel. I was tired, hungry, and wanted nothing more than to get in bed. My last meeting of the day went long so it’s not like anyone would expect me back until well after 10 pm anyway.
My room is small but comfortable with an attached bath that opens up to a balcony overlooking the ocean. There are two double beds, both made up nicely, and a desk where I can work if needed or play some solitaire when I’m too exhausted to do anything else.
